I was able to find a short blurb on his Mythadventures website indicating that he apparently passed away quietly at home.

Sad News regarding Robert "Bob" Asprin

If this be true then now the horizon of this event has reached me. I have been a BIG fan since I first found Theives World and the Myth series. I got a lucky encounter back in the early nineties to meet him at a convention in Dallas. I brought my worn copy of Tales From The Vulgar Unicorn to his table for his autograph to which he wrote, "It only gets worse". A loss to us, freedom for him.
