The 4th is over, the damn firework noise can start going away, now!

It seems to me that several people on my flist are suddenly not 'mutual' anymore. That is; they have *me* listed as a friend, but somehow they are not listed back as my friend. Which is nutty, because some of these people? I have been mutual friends with for a decade or more.

I've heard about it. I'll admit i'm reluctant to watch on YouTube 'cause it's sometimes a little wonky, but....

There is no kissing - because, Chinese. But plenty of room for fanfic to sort that out, and the actors do a great job of putting over the deep love between the characters.

That's cool. I don't mind if there's no kissing - any more, innuendo is just as good for me (or sekrit LGBTQ signalling to keep the censors away).

Waves at you. If you like subtitled drama I can recommend Borgen. Danish political drama with great female leads. We're on season 3. I can't remember if it's Netflix or Prime - I'm thinking it's Prime

Call My Agent is great fun, isn't it. And we're deep in The Expanse at the moment - just about to finish S3.

Glad your exSO's health is improving. And yes, weather is crazy. I spent the first half of June bitching about how cold it was and then we got this heat dome and all of a sudden it was 42 degrees in the shade last week and wildfire season has kicked off with a vengeance.

Hey, long time and all that. Last year pretty much doesn't exist for me due to health issues which fortunately are better (not gone but much more live-withable now). My current NEXTFLIX addiction is Lucifer which is about to air it's 6th and final season some time this Fall/Winter. Other than that, I haven't had the opportunity/ability to be online very much and TV watching has been out as well. Do have a new granddaughter born 12-20-2020 and she takes up pretty much all my free time. I have you listed as a friend and I thought we were mutual but LJ has a life of its own and changes things up sometimes just to see if we are paying attention. Hope you are doing well and continue to do so.

Did you know you can get aspirin poisoning? I learned it the hard way. Last June I had knee replacement surgery, then fell coming home from the Clinic (same day), busted my patellar tendon and had to return for reattachment surgery and a graft! Totally bedfast for 12 weeks, basically chairfast for 6 months after that and am left with a right leg that only bends 85 degrees on a good day. You need 120 degrees for normal use. Sigh. They had me on a pain regimen of 1 hydrocodone, then 3 aspirin, then 3 naproxen, every 3 hours, repeat. I had a problem with the naproxen so they subbed in more aspirin. When the hydrocodone ran out they said replace it with more aspirin; so I am taking 3 aspiring every 3 hours all day/night long! Don't! The side-effects are awful. Your hearing goes, your memory goes (think Alzeheimers), you develop tremors, your sight starts to go. Fortunately, my daughter is into research and she found it before my Drs did. Quit the aspirin (let me tell you, cold turkey is not the way to handle pain but sometimes it ( ... )

I'm so glad your daughter figured it out, that's just awful, and homg, you had a run of bad luck with your knee, didn't you. Sheesh.

I try to post and stay alive here, just because it's such a big part of my life - or was - but it's hard to find things to talk about, sometimes, when my personal life is very quiet and i find a lot of fandom stuff just exhausting.

I'm glad your ex-SO is better. And that he's doing something about his health for the future.

The friends thing is very odd. It sent me off to compare my 'Mutual Friends' list with my 'Friends of' list and my 'Friends' list. I don't think I have suffered that problem, but the exercise did make me realise that I couldn't remember when I had last seen a post from fully two thirds of my Friends list.

It *is* odd. Half the people replying here were not 'friended', even though i know for a *fact* they were in the past. Really frustrating.

LJ does seem to be slowing way, way, down. DW is still doing pretty well, a lot of active communities, but it will always be my second home.
