yeah, my boy's already in the nad-free zone as well. I have the distinct feeling that a pit bull with ballz would be a good be more difficult to control in some situations.
does your pup play well (or at all) with others? I'm hoping to eventually find a dog that is about his size to work on the freaking out at dogs thing. and if nothing else, you should bring your pup by the shop to try out our springpole. the one photo of him jumping at a thing in midair is the chain + rope + spring-a-ma-jig that has helped his neck become as thick as a tree trunk.

mine is highly socialized as we enrolled in training classes young and she tumbled with lots of puppies there... Thereafter we went to the dog park weekly until it got so cold. Regularity is key - socialization won't happen if it's sporadic. I can also recommend walks in Carytown. it's always full of dogs on sunny weekends.

Dog pictures are a way to get a mighty comment wallop in your inbox, huh? I say no post should be without pictures! If they could have, the great writers of the past would've stuck dog photos in the bodies of their texts.
That guy's pretty fucking cute! How's he do with the cat? A shot of them snuggling would warm the heart, C.

grin haha, I don't get comments sent to my inbox, but otherwise I can't argue your rightness.
when we got him from the pound, they said NO CATS EVAR OMG NOOOOOOO. we're taking it VERY slow. the cat is pretty protective of the house, and they're never unsupervised. because no matter how chummy they get, he's still a dog with a STRONG prey instinct.
that photo on the couch is about as close as they'll chillax now. eventually there will be cuddling. hopefully. for the camera's sake.
