Er. Am slightly alarmed at this oft-repeated advice. Isn't the fine print my literary agent's job? I mean, I hired her *because* I needed someone who could negotiate the contract for my non-fiction book years ago, on the advice of the publisher (who made me an offer and presented me with a vast contract that I couldn't hope to understand enough to negotiate on). Definitely worth her cut with that book, my agent.
Ahhhh, now *you*, Catherine, should recognise quite a few of the events I draw on in this novel. And will be pleased to hear that it's a sneaky attempt to educate a hostile generation about feminism...
