I like blue and white, but not quite as much as the amount of garments I own with this combination would suggest. It's a safe, low-key combination that offends almost no-one, but excites few. In theory navy is what they call a "basic", a colour which goes with anything, but I've always found it problematic. Navy suits me, but I find it way less versatile than black.
