I'm glad that worked out so well for you, dude. Sucks to lose a bike, but you got a better one now and a place to hang out :)

I've been meaning to get back into biking myself, but trying to bike around Seattle is intimidating. It's not like Boston - all the drivers are terrified of bikers and let them rule the road (they all ride like 4 abreast) but not only is there the mountainous hill problem but pretty much all the bikers you do see are the hard-core, spandex-wearing, clippy-shoe sporting bastards. Makes me feel like if I was riding in shorts and sandals they'd all gang up on me and beat me up for not following the dress code and looking like a complete idiot.

Plus I'm lazy. And my bike's busted somehow - it grets crazy friction for some reason, so it's a bitch to ride even on level ground.

Sweet Deal! I'm glad you found a new hobby. Have you given James Walker a call lately? As I recall he use to bike everyday when we were at cal state.
