So last week my bike got stolen. I felt kinda violated since it was stolen from in front of my apartment. They left absolutely nothing behind, not even my bike lock they had to cut through. It was an alright bike, typical hybrid comfort bike; it served my purpose of getting around the city, nothing too exciting.

I've been meaning to get back into biking myself, but trying to bike around Seattle is intimidating. It's not like Boston - all the drivers are terrified of bikers and let them rule the road (they all ride like 4 abreast) but not only is there the mountainous hill problem but pretty much all the bikers you do see are the hard-core, spandex-wearing, clippy-shoe sporting bastards. Makes me feel like if I was riding in shorts and sandals they'd all gang up on me and beat me up for not following the dress code and looking like a complete idiot.
Plus I'm lazy. And my bike's busted somehow - it grets crazy friction for some reason, so it's a bitch to ride even on level ground.
