Got a new job fairly recently, in a sudden rush of excitement. Got a phone call on Tuesday at the start of Septemnber, inviting me in for an interview on Wednesday morning. Had a lovely lazy weekend visiting the meltie, mostly involving cars, console emulation and a canine. The Land Rover completely lived up to expectations at speeds and decibels in excess of reasonable norms around winding country roads, and it was great to spend a couple of relaxed evenings in catching up as a break from my deadline rush. Reference letter from halls (that I thought I'd have to put up more of a fight for), student loan confirmation and paycheck in the post, and then a small TV license refund to join the happier numbers in my bank balance when I double-checked the pay. I'm going to eat some lunch!
