I keep a mental list of film divas that I think are underrated, having been denied the recognition they deserve. They certainly are successful in their careers as film artists, nominated for an Oscar, some of them twice or thrice, which they have yet to win. I still think they are underappreciated by the American public, whose love for the bland

Even in a predictable, mushy movie like "The Notebook," Joan Allen was the Joan Allen. I would not say it was a great performance, but just being there helped elevate it a notch higher. (My friend was sobbing. Don't ask who. I was surprised he was such a pusong mamon. Hahah.) I want to watch Bourne Supremacy tomorrow.

i totally agree with her being robbed of that oscar for elizabeth
i used to like gwynnie..ok i still kinda like her...but i didn't think
her performance in shakespeare in love was oscar-worthy at all.
