A few months ago I wrote an essay about being a performer in a multicultural society. For this essay I was awarded a scholarship from Puente Theatre, a theatre company here in Victoria that focuses on the expression of immigrant issues and the exploration of social issues. God,

give us grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed,

and the wisdom to distinguish the one from the other.

So, I made it to the celebrity judge round (third round) of Canadian Idol. I flew into Winnipeg from Victoria for my spring break at 12:10 pm yesterday. I went home to eat and relax for awhile, and was at Portage Place by about 3:40 pm. The cut-off time was 4:00 pm.
