She was weaker when I was there at Veterans' Day. Much moreso during my 10-day Christmas visit, but there were a couple of wonderful days/nights, too

When my mother went into hospital for the last time, they could have probably resuscitated her, but she would have almost certainly spent the rest of her life on a ventilator. I was absolutely clear that was not what she wanted, which made the decision simple.

I'm so sorry, Taf. A stroke took my mom too. I know you will work with your sister to provide whatever care can be had in your mom's best interest. I'm sure your visits when she was in better health meant the world to her - let that be a comfort if your current illness prevents you from going up right now. Prayers for your mom, your sister, and you too....
