Irony moment

My parents are both fairly perceptive about politics in general and specific ploys politicians use to mislead and manipulate in particular. Yes. The lesson of the Nazis is that ordinary, decent people can be made complicit in monstrous crimes. It's crucial that we remember this, that villainy is not something only monsters do. I can do it to, and so can you, all the while justifying to ourselves that we were doing only what we needed to.

The United States is exactly on the same path as Nazi Germany. Anyone who doesn't realize this has their head firmly stuck in the same (or maybe in their smartphone, texting and tweeting and playing games.)
