I'm well aware of my options for sticks.

TE sticks are from MadCatz btw.

What would be OPTIMAL would be a 360 SE. I can just pull the PCB, the terminal strip and throw it all in there. The only thing I'd need to solder up is the home button and +5v to power the PCB in tandem. I know the IMP is out there, but I'd rather just use a small cheap USB hub to manage it all.

One good thing about a 360: Chris-chan will NEVER touch one.

Plus, it can has some backwards compatibility. Good luck finding a PS3 with BC these days.

There's nothing on the original Xbox worth going back and playing

Okay

There's nothing on the original Xbox that doesn't involve a giant fucking joystick that's incompatible with the 360 that's worth complaining about BC for. If you never owned an original Xbox, it's kind of worth it, but...

I have a small stack of original XBox games I still enjoy. Hell, I popped in Jet Set Radio Future and played it for about 2 hours yesterday. Had a blast.

I don't mind the XBL interface because you wouldn't affected by that unless you are connected to the internet all the time, which apparently you are. My friend has an elite who's never been online and doesn't bug him for uptdates, because he doesn't do those services. You really only do updates for the services that require it ( ... )

You're missing the point about the rant about the bizarre behavior regarding software updates. It's just bizarre that when I turn it on for the first time and I'm prompted to download a system update, I'm not getting all of the system updates. I'm not getting all the codecs, etc. When I update my Wii, ps3 or PSP, I'm pretty much getting everything in one giant package. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just weird ( ... )
