I greatly enjoyed Fringe last season but it's only on the second season so that may not be up your alley.

Lord other than that I can't think of anything because I'm rubbish:p

Fringe is very fun. Takes a few episodes to get into, and one character is totally useless for the first season, but it's oddly compelling and has a pretty interesting ongoing storyline.

Avoid: Stargate Universe. It's fucking dumb. However, I was quite fond of Stargate: Atlantis, which is currently in its final season, which I think is 5. Again, it takes half a season or so to really get going, but once it does it's pretty fun.

Supernatural isn't bad. It's not consistent, but it's often fun.

True Blood is great. Again, it takes awhile to get started (isn't this always the case?) and starts off *really* campy (by design), but ends really, really strongly. Second season was a blast, too, and it's been renewed for a third.

Avoid Sanctuary. Dumb with a capital Dumb.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles was really good, though it kind of lost it a little in the second season. It's been cancelled, but what's available is worthy of your time.

Screw you dude! ;p
Stargate Universe is awesome!
Fringe is soooooo boring!

I would avoid Defying Gravity, good premise, terrible plotting and it just got cancelled, though they're finishing the first season.

Also, Caprica just got goooood!

I agree about True Blood, totally awesome.
And I'm going to take some heat for this I know, but I'm digging Vampire Diaries, it's definatly a CW teen show, but it's entertaining while I'm making dinner.

Not SciFi but Community is hilarious, also The Big Bang Theory is funny, and Better off Ted is one of the most underated shows around, in season three right now. Also, Modern Family is good too.

Better Off Ted has got to be one of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time. However, I also hate Stargate Universe. Sorry. :/

Pshhhht! I bet you two didn't like Voyager either! ;p

Ted is awesome, but he's awful skinny and tan this season... it worries me!

There was something I caught episodes of with my dad. It was called Jericho and had Skeet Ulrich in it. It was rather good about nuclear bombs and divisions of the country and so on. I enjoyed the few episodes I saw. It has quite a bit of politics in it as well, but the human factor is very high with a blind girl and so on. I recommend it!

Dollhouse is done now, just two short seasons, but there's some fantastic stuff in there.

Farscape and Babylon 5, of course.

The Lost Room is a little mini-series I'd never heard of that Zia raved about, and it's really, really good. Totally sucked me in.

Repeating some of the suggestions above:

Jericho and True Blood are both good.

I enjoyed Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles meandered in places, but overall very enjoyable, and with the added bonus of seeing Brian Austin Greene redeem himself as an actor.

Oh, and the remake of the Prisoner is terrible. Stay far, far away.

Really?
Man, you and I should never watch tv together ever! There would be so much disagreement!

I liked The Prisoner.

you possibly have seen this one already, but I just finished watching the first 3 seasons of Eureka. It made me happy.

Seconded AND thirded on Eureka. Also Farscape may be old but it's still my favourite SF series ever.
