my computer updated, then restarted without my permission while i was on a run, and when i came back to listen to music, none of my music was in my itunes. wtf?

fortunately i have everything organized in a folder that i can just click and drag into it, but still, im confused. why would my itunes suddenly decide it didnt love me anymore?
