Hi everyone, I'm trying to visit another friend teaching English in Beijing during my New Year's vcation. However: I know i need a Visa before getting to China, and I'm trying to work on this right now, as obviously a lot of people are probably trying to do the same. How can I obtain this in Taiwan? I'm looking to stay in Taipei for a few nights before heading to Foguangshan down south, but there are a lot of hostels in Taipei and I dunno which is best.

Anyone have any recommendations?

I also need a place where I can check in late. My flight arrives at like 10:00pm.

I don't live in Taiwan any more but I used to get dan bing (egg cake) in the mornings when I lived in Taipei. I really missed them so I've started making them at home. This is my take on it - it's as authentic as I could get them here in Portland.

I've got to ask:  I'm currently in Keelung and looking for Chinese lessons or a Chinese tutor but I don't even know where to begin looking...Does anyone know a place?  or website?  I'm not looking for a language exchange, but actual lessons of some sort...
