I can't read close up right now! First time in my life. I finally went to the eye doctor and got a prescription. But they did dilate my eyes. Last time I had them dilated I could hardly tell any difference. Now... Now I can't read a magazine. Now I feel queasy. Now you can hardly see my irises. I did however receive a free pair of contacts which I ( Read more... )

::pets the liver:: It's okay, liver. He loves you, you're just a little rambunctious, so he's trying to mellow you out.

A few of my friends are really into it, but I've never actually watched Firefly or Serenity. You know how sometime someone is so obsessed and over-the-top annoying about something that it totally turns you off to ever wanting to do/watch/etc it yourself? I know someone who's like that about Firefly and Serenity, so I've never picked it up. With your endorsement, though, maybe I'll go pick it up and check it out.

I totally know what you mean! But really, Firefly is good. We should throw a Firefly marathon one weekend. It'd only take about 12 hours to see all episodes and I even have a documentary. Between Sean and I we could probably figure out how to hook up my computer to your tv. I have an S-Video output on my video card.

Let's do it! My parents will be out of town quite a bit and I'm moving into my own place pretty soon, as well, so we'll definitely be able to work that in. We'll have to plan it in advance, though, so we can request a weekend day off of work. ::shakes fist:: Curse you, work!

We hang long glass tubes about 6 inches width from the ceiling and drop them through an oven. I use a machine to control the heat and air pressure, effectively blowing the glass into the right dimensions. This glass goes down through the floor where another guy cuts it at the right length using a variety of tools before it hits the floor and bottoms out. That's what I used to do before I started training as an operator, running the machine.
