A/N OK. This will be the only true author's note and i'm sorry it's so long, but I felt the need to explain a few things before hand. One: this is my first chaptered fic. The updates will be irregular because I have college and life and hardly any wi-fi signal, so please be patient with me. Two: this is VERY Alternative Universe. A lot of the characters are OOC. Just warning you now, so if you don’t like that, I gave you a warning, Three: this is also based on my school knowledge so it's a bit different. I tried to explain things in this fic simply, but if you have any questions send me a message and I'll explain. Four: It's told from Yesung's POV so some things aren’t very obvious or wont even be told/explained. XD just ask me and I'll be more than happy to tell. Nothing else to say so please enjoy and comment with guesses or suggestions to help me xD im VERY new to all this. ^_______^ enjoy!!(title subject to change when I think of something to better)
CHAPTER 1
The school bell rang.
‘Ugh, another boring class during another boring day.’ I sighed, walking to my desk in the middle of the room. ‘Seriously, nothing interesting ever happens. The last fun thing that happened was when Eunhyuk and Shindong glued the drawers closed.’ I couldn’t help but smile at that memory.
I was snapped out of it by the sound of laughter in front of me.
I looked up and saw Ryeowook and Kyuhyun huddled together over their desks giggling and whispering.
I couldn’t help but glare at Kyuhyun. ‘Why does Wookie even like him? He is sneaky, rude and obsessed with games of all kinds. I’m Wookie’s best friend and have been for years. So why does he only think of Kyu?’
As if he knew I was thinking badly about him, Kyu suddenly looked up and he smirked.
‘He smirked? That bastard has the gall to smirk at me?’
I didn’t get to properly flip him off. The teacher walked in with (and I can admit it) a very handsome new student.
The class all around me broke out into hushed, excited whispers. I looked the new kid over as the teacher tried to settle the class down. I was right with my first thought: he was good-looking. I wanted to make eye contact, but he was staring down at the floor as if his life depended on it.
He glanced up and I was able to see his eyes.
Something about them made my breath hitch in a way I didn’t like.
I quickly turned to look out the window. By then, the teacher had gotten the class quiet. I barely listened as she started talking. “Class, I would like to introduce Hangeng. He’s transferring here from China. He still has some problems with speaking Korean but he does understand it, so I hope the students in this class will be willing to help him. Is there anyone willing to show him around and help him out with tasks for a couple of weeks?”
The room stayed quiet.
I couldn’t help but wonder which poor soul would be saddled with the transfer student.
It will probably be Ryeowook. He likes volunteering. He loves helping people.
Actually, that would be a good thing. It would mean he would be spending less time with Kyuhyun.
I was starting to like that idea more and more.
Even if it meant he couldn’t spend time with me, at least he wouldn’t be with Kyu.
Suddenly breaking the silence, Kyu speak up. “Let Yesung do it.”
I whipped around from the window. ‘What the hell does he think he’s playing at?’
He continued. “He’s one of the oldest in the class and he’s been here the longest, so he pretty much knows where everything is. He’s not in many clubs, so he has plenty of spare time. Also, I think he’s a great guy and would be great at helping a new student.” As he finished that last part, he turned towards me smirking.
I looked around and saw the curious looks the other students were giving me.
They all knew how I was and were probably wondering why Kyuhyun would suggest such a thing.
I looked at Ryeowook and I sighed. I knew that look he was giving me; he wanted me to do it. I could almost hear his thoughts about how it would be great to help out a person.
I sighed again (why am I sighing so much?) and looked back at the teacher.
She was almost begging me with her eyes to agree. No one else was jumping at the chance. “Well?” she prompted.
I looked over at Hangeng, he looked somewhat panicked.
I knew this was a bad idea. I also knew I was going to get back at Kyuhyun but I had to say something. “It’s cool. I’ll help him out for a couple weeks.” I forced a smile, hoping they would not see my obvious disapproval of the whole thing.
I looked at Ryeowook, and smiled for real this time. He was acting as if he were so proud that I agreed.
That look made it worth it for me.
The teacher continued talking “Okay. Hangeng, luckily there is an empty desk next to Jongwoon. Why don’t you take that one?”
He looked at her in confusion. “Who is Jongwoon?” he asked quietly.
I groaned. “It’s me. Jongwoon is my real name, but everyone calls me Yesung.”
“Oh” he said, walking to the desk next to me.
He sat down. I sighed again ‘Well, when I wanted something interesting to happen, I should have wished it on someone else. I didn’t want it to happen to me.’
I thumped my head on the desk. ‘Too late to back out now, but mark my words I will get Kyu back for this.’
I sat back to stare out the window and started to chuckle evilly just thinking about getting him back. I’m sure I had an evil-looking smile on my face and I’m equally sure I just scared the new student with my chuckling (if that jump he did is any indication) but I really didn’t care right this second.
‘I’m going to get that sneaky, best-friend-stealing bastard.’
The teacher had already started the lesson by the time I focused back on class. I really didn’t care about what was on the board right now. All I could think of was revenge.
Every once in a while, I let an evil laugh escape and, every time, Hangeng flashed me a half-worried and half-scared look.
‘Don’t worry; this plan isn’t for you, new kid. I promise I won’t let it get in the way of my helping you.’
I let one more laugh escape as class ended. I watched as Kyuhyun playfully pulled my Wookie out of class. ‘Just you wait; I’ll get you where it hurts.’ I thought as I watched them leave. ‘Just you wait.’
