"Eternal life is super fun."

I haven't posted in a while. There are so. many. reasons. for this. I won't get into them too much but they basically boil down to: I was having a horrid last couple weeks of school in terms of my sanity; I try to avoid talking about my personal life too much on this journal and so, since everything was going on in my personal life and I'd put my ( Read more... )

I really have conflicted feelings about the last one minute of Sherlock. I was so sad to learn that Irene was dead...and then when it was revealed that Sherlock was there and saved her...I was happy because she was alive, but I was also unhappy about the damsel in distress situation, and kind of the easy ending for such an episode. The ending wasn't right, it was a bit too much fanservice.

I was both happy and unhappy to find out she was alive. I mean, I liked her in the episode but I wasn't 100% convinced that I needed to see her again. When there's only 3 episodes per season I don't need an abundance of Irene Adler. Lol. And yeah, I guess fanservice would be a good way to put it. I mean, the way it played out in the episode, we're supposed to believe that John didn't notice that Sherlock did all that? I don't know. Wah. I'm not being very eloquent here, but yeah, it just seemed like the took an easy out that didn't quite mesh with the rest of the episode or the tone of the characters they've set up.

Yeah Supernatural has just been sort of generally boring. I don't get it. Like you said, the first two or so episodes were AMAZING. And I loved that they really stripped back a lot of the crutches that the boys had been relying on for so long and were getting overused. But they didn't need to make it boring in addition to doing so. I mean, S1-3 were boring...I don't know. That's probably why I don't really have very many feelings about the season as a whole. I mean, I didn't dislike it really (except for the Becky episode), I just didn't exactly like it ( ... )

You know, my heart breaks into tiny little pieces every time I say out loud that I find Supernatural boring. Because this show used to mean so much to me, it used to be so wonderful with every episode and I used to love it so much. But now I just can't feel the same things anymore. And it makes me sad ( ... )

I totally get you about feeling so sad about saying Supernatural is boring. I discovered that show at a really unique point in my life and it's connected me with some of my closest friends. Given us something to bond over when our friendships were still new and before we'd discovered everything else we had in common. And I don't know. It just gave me so much to do and look forward to. And now I can hardly stay awake during an episode. Did you watch this past week's yet? A friend had texted me to say it was good so I was looking forward to it, but I didn't really think it was all that interesting. I did read a fan theory about a couple of things in the episode though which made it, in hindsight, more interesting. I don't want to spoil you though if you haven't seen it yet ( ... )

Okay, so I had to wait until after I saw Sherlock to read this, and then only as I was reading did I remember how I'm still only on episode 407 of Merlin... lalala, so behind. My plan was to try and watch it before then next time I see you so we could talk about it, but ~life...

Anyway. Sherlock! I adore, I adore... I love.. I am... I am at a loss for words again. Such a collision of fantastic characters, cool plots and prettiness is almost more than I can bear. Ugh. Probably more texts about this to follow.

Pesky ~life getting in the way. Who does it think it is anyway? The only reason I was able to keep up with Merlin was because it aired on Saturday and Saturday was usually the day I didn't get out of bed until like 2pm and then did nothing except walk the length of my room, which is not lengthy, for like 6 hours before getting back in bed. Aka, my day of procrastination. ANYWAY. I promise you you'll like this season of Merlin, but you are under no obligation to have watched it before I next see you. Go do your crazy art project. We'll have Downton Abbey and Sherlock to watch when I see you. We'll be good.

Mmmmm, Downton Abbey and Sherlock :) I'm pretty sure the last Sherlock airs the night of your proposed arrival? How timely!
