not santana! he is mexican, but really it was sparta. even though they don't really use effects like tmv does and atdi did, but they are still mexican!

Yeah, but ATDI and the Volta are basically the same band.

they really aren't the same band. at the drive-in was good, and the mars volta shows exactly how much cedric bixler-zavala and omar rodriguez-lopez have grown as musicians since at the drive-in broke up. the rest of atdi formed sparta, which is more like atdi than tmv.
