It's crazy the way you've managed this. I'm terrified about how you're going to end it. Even though their relationship is all kinds of messed up, I want them to somehow be okay. And I have no idea how you're going to manage it.

I do wonder what Emma's interactions w/ Dorian have been like. Perhaps that's why the younger man seems so twitchy?

Weellll I mostly based his character around descriptions of him as shy and not very talkative, but that would be an interesting dynamic, wouldn't it? I can't believe that Emma would like him very much, since he's one of the few people (aside from Charles and, arguably, Erik) who can block her out of their minds on a whim. I mean, I'm sure that he's required to let her into his mind every now and then, but according to comics canon I think that's only something he learned to do later on. When he was recruited, he probably wasn't capable of selectively withdrawing his powers, which couldn't have made him popular at all among his peers and might have contributed to his... NO BRAIN YOU DO NOT NEED TO WRITE FIC

The details of the University of WI's scientists being hobbled by Glassblower Murther ... fantastic worldbuilding!!
