Till we crack the code we have always known, but could never understand.

I have a friend that has to make one hell of a choice soon... the problem is no matter what advice I can give them, it wont matter, because I can't truly tell them everything I feel. It would be selfish and a horrible act as a person ( Read more... )

Jeremy, if we made choices just because we worried about what people thought about us, all we'd all be is pawns. It's kinda like the whole thing about "normal", everybody says "be normal" but nobody truly is normal. It's good to take people's advice, but at the end you just gotta choose your own path. There's no shame in not going to college, it's truly not meant for everybody. If you feel it's right for you go for it, but if it's not then it wasn't meant to be. I think the best thing you should do is sit down and think about what path YOU want to walk, and walk it. It's your life :)

I agree with this Spike person.

Sometimes in life.. we have to make a selfish decision or two.. because sometimes we care too much about other people and do things for them, or think of them and hold ourselves back. Well, that's how I am.. obviously.. And I finally had to choose that I WILL go after my dreams and goals.. even if that means leaving behind a person I care about. In the end.. Look how it all worked out? If anything, it was a great decision- The best I have made this year.

As for everything else, you are your own worst critic. You don't have to go to college and graduate in order to become successful. You don't have to do something big and amazing to stand out to people. Right now, there's only so much we can do.. But just having a job and saving up money.. Even that's a start to your future. You're still young and have plenty of time to think of what you truly want to do and stick to it. I already know you have ideas.. But you have time, boyo!

<3 you.

P.s: Who is the friend you're talking about...? >_>

Dude, you have to look out for number one, and you know it. If your experiences in Nashville should have taught you anything, it should have been that other people aren't worth it. This choice will fuck someone, right? Well, it's about time you got on the giving end of that.

As for getting that job, all I can say is do it. Go do it right now. There isn't anything else. Are you going to invent something? Are you going to write the great American novel? Do you have plans of winning the lottery? Getting a job is all there is to life. So go get it.
