Walking Trails/Parks In Our Area

The hubby and I decided that on the weekend we would pick one of the many parks in our area and go for a walk (with our cameras). Saturday we picked the one that is on County Road I and 35W. What we didn't know was that this walk took us from the park in Arden Hills to another park in Shoreview. I was a little stunned. Usually the walkways in

I thought some of the things I was seeing looked familiar.

There were more people parked at the Shoreview end than the Arden Hills end. Probably because the dogging area is closer to Shoreview.

There sure were a LOT of dogs there on Saturday.

Yeah, it's actually a Rice Creek Watershed District park, which is why it goes through a buncha cities (ok two). But it's definitely a cool park, and not just cause of the dog thing.

We saw a lot of the swampy kinda stuff we like to sit and watch and see what kind of animals show up. That may be one of the spots we pick to set up a blind to sit and watch the birds and animals.
