I love Neil Gaiman. American Gods is my favorite book. I greatly enjoyed the Sandman graphic novel series and even some of his crappier works (read: Neverwhere) are heads and tails better than 90% of other "genre fiction" (thanks for the fancy phrase, holly!). Went to the renfaire with wife and friends. The day we had gone had a scottish theme so I got to see a couple bagpipers that were REALLY good. Picked up one of their CDs: "Hunting Mcleod" which is O.K. Also bought a fantastic board game called Tafl which is kinda like Norse chess.
