New. Camera. It's my best friend now. As always, would appreciate a little love on flickr. Although, here would make me just as happy! :) (And, you know, pimping would also make me happy. Early birthday present? Heh.)
Thank you! Surprisingly, I'm still using a point and shoot, only I've upgraded to a Nikon L110. I'm not in a place financially to invest in a DSLR, and I also figured getting more practice in with something a step up from a compact camera would probably be reasonable to fill the gap.
I do post-process. My routine is sharpening and brightness/contrast, which I achieve from either curves, levels, exposure, or simply a duplication of the base on soft light. This is, of course, if I'm wanting to achieve a simple photo (i.e. 123). Obviously, there's occasions where I want to do something a bit more stylized, and if I hadn't already used a manual setting on my camera, I tend to edit the picture in any number of ways, but I try to reserve that for photos that are really begging for a theme (i.e. vintage, black and white modifications, etc
( ... )
Because epic Nikon is epic. ;) And I suppose it helps I have knowledge of basic photoshop editing. I'm sure I could bypass a lot of post-processing if I did have a DSLR.
