Chapter 3

The photographer peered through the camera lens long enough that any of the wedding party might have thought he was meditating, or had fallen asleep on his feet.  “Jenny, we need you to get up on the steps,” he said.  And after another endless pause, “Mr. Del Mar, please move a bit to your right. There’s a glare on you from the window.”  ( Read more... )

Yes, there are some similarities - David's a bit of a klutz in some ways, though not all; very much an outgoing person. He isn't nearly as much out of place in the environment he's grown up in as Jack was, though Georgia isn't that much an improvement over Wyoming when it comes to gay-friendly attitudes. Basically, both Ennis and David have unfinished business.

I was thinking david was maybe Jack in spirit (the spirit of Jack in another body) but this is interesting I'd like to see more

Not exactly that, but there is an underlying plot involving not only soul mates but friendships that continue over a series of life experiences. And if we choose people we have something in common with in physical life, IMO that would be the case in other dimensions as well.

This chapter was difficult to write, just in the sense of getting a lot of exposition in at once and introducing a major character. I promise not to wait a whole month to post the next one!

Your writing is really wonderful. Evocative. I'm very intrigued by your story and where it might lead. I love Ennis so much and I love his relationship with his daughters. It's all so sweet.

I'm eagerly awaiting more. Keep writing!!

Thanks!!
