Going away party
Despite the incredibly bad weather the party was a great success. It was great to see all the people that came out to say good bye to me and Christine. I felt like i had ADHD, i wanted to talk to everyone and hug everyone and connect with them all for the 'last' time. i can't believe how much shit i have accumulated in the last three years. i keep throwing things out and there is more and more, how can this be??? got to love nyc
Transit workers (the bastards) went on strike and the city is still running. the number of people on the street walking with luggage is v. amusing. i wonder where they will be sleeping tonight? super duper busy night at work last night...god help anyone who gets sick at night. if i hear another intern/resident say "i just don't know what to do ( Read more... ) -
arg, cold
haven't written for a while, was working too much. one thing about night shift that gets to me is that when i get home in am i just want to go to sleep. and i never want to get up before i have to. This means nothing ever gets done when i'm working several days in a row ( Read more... ) -
Dancing, how to keep the energy going?
I've been dancing lindy since oct '99, that is six years. i remember my first year in nyc i danced 3-4 nights a week and took classes. then it was down to 2 nights/week. So I turned 27 yesterday. I have been part of my family for 27 years. I have never felt like i wasn't loved. I have never felt like i wasn't respected. i need a hug
so six months into it, i have my third horrible day. i guess three in six months is not so bad. and it was a great learning experience. but man i feel drained and empty, i think i had adrenalin running through my veins for 10hrs straight. I don't know if i can take too many days like that.
