saw a movie tonight that totally blew my mind. I think for a while now after seeing the "pianist" i've made a conscious choice not to see any movies about war, people killing other people and esp movies about the Holocaust. So work today was on the easy side. Nice routine patients that behaved. Then the nurse in charge comes and tells me that my patient from last week died. She was young, had a really nice family and was v. nice. Yes she was v. sick but somehow it's just really hard to accept that from a younger person. Damn life is harsh. i guess it's been a while since i've been to the airport, last time was in january. i got to the airport with my usual diligence an hr before my flight was supposed to take off, even with the flight being delayed 10min or so i got to the gate as they began boarding. so i get 12 sick days/year. I've been working for 5.5 months now and have not called it sick yet. Tried once but had to go in cause i didn't know i had to call at least 2hrs ahead of time. so after thinking about it i decided to call in sick tomorrow.
