We spend a lot of time and energy on making software usable and user-friendly, and with good reason. It only makes sense to make the computer adapt to the user, not vice versa. One of the things that made Red Dwarf great -- arguably the MAIN thing -- was its willingness to disregard continuity in favor of comedy. This I have known for some time, but tonight I noticed while watching The Office that it has a tendency to do the same (though to a lesser extent). Yesterday was pretty awesome. I spent pretty much the whole day communing with technology.
