Of Springs storms and shadows

May 12, 2007 03:07

Storm clouds rushed in from the east bring large amounts of rain with them. The streets were all but void of traffic, most at home in cozy houses with cozy families. There in a flash of thunder, a form… a silhouette is seen at a window. A young man who, for the age of about 10 has the most adult look of complacency that could be believed. Sighing ( Read more... )

A kindred spirit.... kaygotz May 14 2007, 22:16:15 UTC
I "googled" the word "cathartic" to check spelling, and was brought to your essays on dying, death, and what it feels like to be left behind. You are a moving writer...One who ought to be published. It helps so much to know there are others out there who aren't made of steel like all the ones who say, "Get a grip, get over it!"

I have written in my myspace blogs, and on the music page put a morbid song you might identify with called "Cancer of the Soul." I also put up a site for my father who recently passed away (before he got sick). If you don't already have a myspace, you might want to check it out. It's a wonderful creative outlet and way to commemorate your lost loved ones.

Below are my myspace sites, in case you want to listen to the "Cancer"song or read my blogs. I think you'll enjoy Dad's site...I didn't make it morbid. He accumulated a lot of "hot chick" online friends on myspace.
Let's hope the fog lifts for us some day.....Keep writing!

I just figured how to bring the postings from myspace onto my journal page...every new one deletes the old one though. Now if you want to read it, you won't have to go to myspace.

Firstly I find my self speechless and humbled by your compliments as well as general surprise that you stumbled onto my page (I have few regular readers). My usual form of expression is more graphic, painting sculpting…etc. I like to write but my muse only tends to strike when my mood is especially dark.

I have a myspace page but have not really done much with it. I have some of my artwork in the pics section but it is mostly just there to have (everyone has myspace now )

http://www.myspace.com/talrog Danger is my screen name for that account

To find that my writings have made it to the shores of someone who is or has shared the emotions they encompass, and been moved by them leaves me again greatly surprised and humbled and glad that I pulled the big words out that day ^_^.

Cool...I'lll add you to my myspace (although I don't go on it too often these days). Artistic expression leads to gloominess, I think. Too much time spent indoors. I'm going to try yoga/meditation to see if I can free myself of this "knife in the gut."

Creative pursuits are "cathartic," as you said, but there are beautiful things in nature (if not in human nature) that we are missing while playing shut-in.

I will send you other interesting people to add on myspace once you post your blogs so they can know something about you. I was surprised by the depth of myspace...Thought it was just a bunch of kids seeking attention. Not so...at least not entirely.

Take care, and thanks again for sharing your misery!

Lo
