Ah.

NO, SHE JUST THINKS THEY'RE CUTE talvimyrskyn February 9 2011, 00:59:57 UTC
[ Gosh, all these humans... it's odd being so close to them.

Kirsi will pause what she's doing, wobbling for a moment on one leg, then bring her other leg back down to stand straight.

Hope you don't mind a burst of bird song right in your ear, Jack. It's not too loud, at least, and sounds almost like a question. ]

I'M TERRIFIED! AND DELIGHTED! lists_to_port February 9 2011, 02:18:40 UTC
WHOA.

[This might be the strangest thing that has happened to him in weeks.

...

Okay, days.]

Erm..........what?

JUST AS PLANNED, MY FRIEND. JUST AS PLANNED. talvimyrskyn February 9 2011, 02:23:01 UTC
[ ... ah. it might be a bit harder to get through to this one. animals would be much easier to communicate with. this is a bit harder.

she will move over to the edge of the fountain, then sit, swinging her legs over the edge. then she will look up at him again with a tilt of her head, and the breeze will carry more birdsong to him, again with a questioning tone. but in a way, the sound it almost ... soothing. do not be afraid. ]

[Yeah, he'd call a tiny wooden body almost boring. Thanks Luceti, for constantly redefining the standards for weird.

Thus it's the garb she's sporting that successfully keeps Sanji's attention on the way to his restaurant, makes him pause and stare curiously. He figured they were done with the New Feather arrivals, but Luceti's still dropping the stragglers in...?

And, if he's not mistaken, a distinctly female straggler - or the Malnosso have chosen to label her as such, what with the dress she's wearing.

... Huuuuuh.]

[ well hello, tall human. Kirsi will stop her skating, and stare right back at him.

you are too far away for her to successfully investigate, Sanji, so she's gonna hop right off the fountain. with a burst of wind, too -- strong enough to carry her several feet. her tiny legs don't get her very far very fast on their own, after all. once she lands atop the snow -- she does not sink into it -- she'll gesture at him with an arm, and send some birdsong to his ear, a soft tweet. hello, human. ]

[Kipinn, did you do that? ... No, you didn't do that. So that leaves one question answered.

The tweeting, however, is a complete surprise. He glances up, at first guessing Midori to have snuck away from Ginko for a visit, but there are no birds to be seen in this weather.]

Did you do that? [Pretty damn pleasing to the ear. He grins a little]

[ there comes another chirp, this one suffused with a tonal warmth that suggests a smile. smart human, picking up on that so quick.

she has so many questions she wants to ask, but cannot remember how to ask them. so she takes a few small steps towards him, gestures expansively around the plaza, and tilts her head, her eyes shifting to give her a confused look. what is this place? ]

[So there's this young boy staring at the tiny wooden doll. He's pretty sure dolls don't normally move on their own. ...What is he supposed to do other than stare, man.]

[ all these funny humans, staring at her... like they've never seen a winter spirit before. tsk.

once again, Kirsi will stop her skating. this one is a little different... a child. children have always been a bit different, to her. usually -- not always, but usually -- wide eyed, yet unscarred by the darkness of the world. she'll raise her arms, and a gentle, surprisingly warm breeze will flow around Marcell. on that breeze will come a gentle trill of birdsong.

hello. ]

[Oh Kirsi, if only you knew. Just a little bitter might describe him pretty well. He very nearly jumps when he hears the birdsong, not expecting it. But the breeze is...calming, a little. Besides, it's...just a doll, right?]

Urm. Hi.

[ ah, he's not scared. good. humans never were quite sure what to make of her.

she'll hop up on the lip of the fountain, and incline her head, shutting her eyes -- which turns them into a flat line, of course, before she opens them and they return to their oval shape.

a gentle wind will push at his back, urging him forward, closer. she wants to get a good look. ]

[Stella doesn't find this too strange. In fact, she thinks it's kind of cute.

So, she lifts her hand to cover her smile as she watches the little doll... A female one? But hey, if beds can suddenly morph into monsters, then heck, a wooden female doll who likes to ice skate has plenty of right to fly around cheerfully, too.]

[ goodness. not only is this one unafraid, she seems quite pleased by Kirsi's appearance. what a strange child. fascinated by Stella's response, Kirsi will keep skating, though glance at Stella from time to time, as if inviting her to come over. ]

[Once the novelty of the sight wears off, Stella lowers her hand to cross her arms in front of her with a warm smile, rather than endeared. But... hm. How strange... she could've sworn the little doll was telling her to come closer.

Well, Stella's never been one to turn down an offer. So, while tilting her head a little to ask if this is what the doll wants, she slowly walks closer to the fountain.]

[ good, good! Kirsi sends a pleased chirp of birdsong to Stella's ear, nodding her head. she's spent so much of her life keeping away from humans -- it's nice to see them up close again. ]

[...There is a tiny wooden doll with wings in a dress. Said doll is ice-skating on the ice in the fountain. This is both adorable and intriguing enough to get this little girl here to approach.]

[ another little one. for her, Kirsi will keep skating, but she'll even manage a few rather complex twirls, even a jump or two. why, it's almost enough to make you think she's had a long, long time to practice such skills... ]

[That thought doesn't even enter Vivi's mind yet; she's too fascinated by the spectacular little ice-skating doll. She's going to get closer, leaning on the fountain to get a nice close view of Kirsi.]

Wow...
