My back hurts like crazy, but we got most of the gardening chores done. It took longer than expected to weed out and turn the soil for the corn/pumpkin patch - mainly because the weeds were mostly creeping ground-cover or small plants and difficult to pull up. It's that time again. I have a bathroom full of hanging, drying herbs :)

I have hyssop, sage, lemon balm, peppermint, wormwood, pennyroyal, catnip and raspberry leaf all washed and tied up with ribbon. It looks - and feels - good.

General observations about my last few years.

I am both dismayed and frustrated at how continually divided the
