WHEN; December 23 | 7:00 p.m. | City Solutions RATING; G CHARACTERS; Everyone SUMMARY; On behalf of City Solutions- welcome. The party don't start 'til you walk in ♥ LOG; ( ❄ winter wonderland ❄ )
[Tony, dressed rather conservatively for once, spreads his arms wide in greeting as the windows of the building momentarily become screens, showcasing Tony's speech for all to see no matter which floor they're on.]
I thank you all for coming - though, really, who could resist? Clearly you couldn't, and I don't really blame you - and kudos for being on time. Hell, I'm on time, but I suspect it's only because I happen to live here.
Anyway- that's not very professional of me, is it? [A teasing grin. Nah- even in a professional context, Tony can crack jokes and be himself without batting an eye.]The night is ours without a curse in sight, drink and dance and have a damn good time. If you have any questions, ask for JARVIS. Don't worry, he'll find you
( ... )
[ Ariadne will be absolutely everywhere tonight, mingling, dancing, harassing certain members of the security staff, and so on. She's even dressed up, a far cry from her usual boots and neckerchiefs. Have at her. ]
[It's not long before George finds her and gives her a quick tap on the shoulder. He looks dapper as hell this evening, too. He also has a sprig of mistletoe in his hand, which he hold over her head. Hey, the curse may not be on, but it's still tradition.]
[ There's no dancing for him tonight, but Mr. Blonde will be lurking around, dressed in all black and with some sort of beverage in his hand at any given moment. ]
[No dancing? Mr. Blonde, you are such a spoilsport. But that's okay, because as much as Rosella enjoys it herself, she also likes mingling and chatting with people almost as much. It takes her a bit to spot him--he really is quite good at lurking, it seems--but once the recognition of the familiar face clicks in her mind, it's right over to say hello.]
Oh, hello! It's so lovely to see you, Mr. Blonde, are you having a nice time?
[ Hey, at any other time he would -- he's just got his stitches to be mindful of. That's why he's wearing all black, too; if they pull out, it'll be easier to hide the blood. Of course, if someone were to ask him to dance, he wouldn't say no. ]
Hello to you too, Princess. [ That nickname again. ] I have been -- this guy knows how to throw a party. You?
[Ever so practical. But hey, at least they match; it's practically unheard of for Rosella to wear black, but she is tonight. If Mr. Blonde is paying particularly close attention, he might even note a touch of Saya's influence in that outfit, since it's certainly not one Rosella would have decided on alone.]
Oh, yes, it's really just lovely--and such a nice idea, making it all for a charity! Then everyone gets to have a lovely time, and some good cause gets the help on top of it. And it always is nice when we have parties like this. It makes things feel a bit more like home.
[ Rhodey only just arrived, but he's found himself a suit of the non-silver non-flying kind already. Sometimes it pays to be friends with Tony Stark. Only sometimes, though.
He's not doing security work, since that's covered, but he's not not doing it, either. He'll be around, keeping an eye on Tony things and trying to find his footing in this strange new place. ]
[ Not that surprising. She gets a smile, though, if only on account of being a familiar face. Or voice. But familiar. ]
[ooc; actually I'm not perfectly sure on how much he'd know about her, but I'll just... assume that he does? Since she kinda talked Tony through the last battle? And... stuff. /waves hands around vaguely ]
[Excellent opportunity to meet this potential new threat in person. While the newcomer has been amicable thus far, he is military and connected to Stark - who has mentioned 'fighting crime' more than once in passing.]
[Raymond isn't sure how he feels about this security uniform, bright red bowtie and all, but, well, he can't exactly bring himself to complain about it. Duty before self, after all. Even if that "duty" is one he volunteered for, but really, that just adds another layer to it.
Either way, he'll be spending more of his time keeping an eye out for suspicious activity than partaking in the festivities, or even thinking of partaking in the festivities. It might not be wise to attract his attention, but feel free to try and good luck if you do.]
