[ Rhodey's not doing security tonight, definitely not, but that doesn't mean that he can't still keep an eye on things. And that includes getting an impression of those people actually responsible for security tonight. ]

How's it going?

[saidrepent]

Well enough so far. [Raymond doesn't know this man, but he's ascertained some connection between him and Mr. Stark by his earlier appearance on the network, and so he can at least assume why he's speaking to him.] Haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary.

[ Smart man. ] And by out of the ordinary, I hope you mean "for this party" because Tony Stark and ordinary don't really go well together. [ He'd have to doubt your skills of observation if you meant actual ordinary, Raymond. Unless they throw mad parties in your time, that's possible. ]

[saidrepent]

[He gives him a polite smile, though there's little more to it than politeness.] Meant in terms of suspicious activity, of course.

[ Charming. ] Don't get your hackles up. It'll probably get less ordinary sooner rather than later.

And if it does, you can be certain I'll be ready for it.

[Raymond can't keep from bristling, but his professionalism does keep him from snapping in reply.]

Good to know, sir.

[ The bristling does little more than amuse Rhodey, but he gets where it's coming from, so he'll leave Raymond alone. ]
