Greeting and resolutions

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had an excellent Christmas/festive season. I did and feel wonderfully recharged. I think it was because the snow meant that everything slowed down and we concentrated on the bare essence for once, rather than all the glitz and glamour ( Read more... )

I feel I really need a plan. Something I can nail myself to so I can't wriggle off the hook.

I'd be happy to do more of Driving Captain Harkness. I could make it the back-up project for February?

I highly approve of no Gwen! Cannot stand her, or RTD's high opinion of her. :(

Also highly approve of more Tanarian. :)

I have so much trouble with the character - and the fact that she's considered more important than anyone else!

*blush* Thank you! I'm hoping to be a lot more consistent this year. (I doubt that i could be less, to be honest!)

Thank you! I'm feeling very energised so hopefully will be able to knuckle down and nail some of the suckers that have been driving me nuts.

so.

Yay!

Yeah, that about sums it up I think.

I imagine the perfect way to dispose of the highly improbably Gwen Cooper would be for her to trip and fall into the shadow of a certain Abaddon. Yes, a perfectly appropriate ending to the most irritating, Mary-Sue self-insert.

I'm happy to see you've set yourself some sort of goals, or more like a loose plan. Of course, if the sequel of Reclaiming Camelot ever found itself freed from the infected computer that would be simply perfect.

Hmm. Maybe I need to trade? I can actually finish up the 2 longer pieces that have sat fallow for almost 2 years?

Ah well, back to looking at the snow covered garden. Happy New Year.

I was tempted to do a real number on her but then I decided that that was giving her too much 'screen-time'. I will be doing a bit of a character-assassination when it comes to the Apocalypse write-out but I am unrepentant. I consider it a reward for having tried so hard to include her as much as I did!

I really think I need the goals. I skitter about too much and wind up with nothing. (I could never, ever, be professional, oh no.) I still fantasise about regaining the stuff that was on my dead computer. Mind you, it's taught me to be religious about back-ups.

Oooh! New stuff from you would be awesome! Once I have assumed the moral high ground (a very unfamiliar place) I shall try nagging.

Happy New Year to you, as well. You still have snow? Hang on, aren't you in California? You have snow in California????

Hope this New Year treats you and yours very well!

I'm impressed with this plan, I look forward to seeing anything you share. There's so many of your 'verses that I'd love to see more of, I don't know which to squee over most ;D I love the way you explore the characters and I'm always interested in your interpretation of their motivations and personalities.

I hear this on the focus & commitment stuff! I've started a paper jounal to try keep all my to-do lists together and neat. Maybe it'll even work XD

I need a plan. I need some kind of structure. Just winging it isn't working any more and I just keep piling more and more stuff up on top of stuff until everything falls over.

There is so much potential in the characters and background we were given. I know I've just scratched the surface and there's always something new to consider every time I watch a scene or even read another fan story.

Paper journals are good. I've got three calendars, two diaries and two journals so I'll have no excuse about losing my notes or forgetting a date this year. I will overcome my ADS!

LOL!Yes, this I can relate to. In my head, I always think I can just wing things and last minute seat of pants it, but I'm much better with a plan. Possibly one with highlighted important bits.

I think that's the thing I love about TW, there's just so much depth you can plumb, deep and meaningful and cracky camp, whatever you want. You can project and develop nearly anything from the raw material. It's just such a pity it wasn't really utilised by the show itself.

So far, it's working *crosses fingers* It's small enough to be carried, but big enough to doodle in.
