Let's see, in sixth grade it was about 1966. Beatlemania was in full swing, as was Monkeemania. The top acts (group, male, female) were the Beatles, Elvis, and Nancy Sinatra. My favorite songs (no way to pick one) that year were Cherry, Cherry by Neil Diamond; Cherish by the Association; Hanky Panky by Tommy James and the Shondells; Paperback Writer, Yellow Submarine, and Eleanore Rigby by the Beatles; These Boots Are Made For Walkin' by Nancy Sinatra; I'm A Believer, Last Train To Clarksville, and I'm A Believer by the Monkees; The Sounds of Silence by Simon & Garfunkel; Summer In the City by the Lovin' Spoonful; Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones; Wild Thing by the Troggs; Monday, Monday by the Mama's and the Papa's; Lightnin' Strikes by Lou Christie; Good Vibrations by the Beach Boys; and finally Sunshine Superman by Donovan ( ... )

Sugar Ray was pretty good back in the day, yanno?

Hey, If I were to listen to Hanson's old albums now, I'd probably think all the songs were crap, too. I mean, 13 year olds can be very talented, but not like, WOW talented.
