Well, its finally happened. The girls of tango have convinced me to teach a lady lead course. I'm such a whore. I've also taken on two students, (one who is a masseause. She pays me in massage. Heheheheheheh). Since there are like, 8 other teachers in Eugene, I've had a hard time justifying the need for one more. Cognitive disodence and all

I tried taking a class like that for a while. I like the approach. Your class sounds better than the one I tried to take though... There aren't enough Int-Adv women for the class so she let in women still learning to follow which really screws up the dynamics of the class. You really got the idea right, it has to be for people who follow WELL. If men want to take your class so badly, have a second hour for them, don't screw up your women's class.

I get blank T-Shirts from Michael's craft stores - I think that they are 50% poly though. (I get undyed pure cotton ones from dharma trading company online). I have also gotten them from a screen printing place here locally that has a deal of 5 blank shirts for $10. They aren't a chain, but you might try calling screen printing places in your area.

Hey thanks, thats a good idea. And thanks for the encouragement on the class. I feel bad telling beginners they are not welcome, but I think its essential that only intermediate-advanced followers take the class. Its good to know that its ok to say no to beginners.

I love any chance I get to follow, but that only happens every once in a while when a guy feels comfortable dancing with me or a woman is confident enough to take the lead. What I wish is that someone would teach a followers class for men. That's why I was so interested in your class, because I figured it would give me an opportunity to dance with women who want to lead me.

I never ask guys to follow me because most guys don't like that. Instead I wait for them to ask me to lead. Just ask women that lead to lead you.

As for the class, its designed for intermediate-advanced followers to practice with each other. This is one of the main points.

For the most part, pretty good. I do lots of neat stuff and I have friends and family who care about me. Even so, it's still a little on the lonely side.
