I'm excited because I have just learned that the 1973 movie Shurayuki hime [修羅雪姫] is being shown at a movie theatre here! I have never seen it on a big screen - last time was about 10 years ago and on VHS. There seems to be a growing interest in this kind of movies since the success of Kill Bill. yume is such a beautiful movie. i was in japan when kurasawa died and they had a kurasawa-a-thon on tv...it was one of the first movies that i could understand b/c there was barely any dialogue but it was so gorgeous

wow i didn't know that they copy it off an older jap movie. now makes me wanna watch the original. btw i think that jap actress is 100 times hotter than lucy lu.. oops haha
