I'm very sorry to hear that. It's a very busy stretch of road where drivers tend not to take the care they should.
When we went past on Sat afternoon, the car was actually up on the island (didn't see evidence of it having crashed through it though) and squished up against the statue. The whole area was shut for the afternoon.
i always hate crossing that road, people speed round the corner and when the lights are just turning red they try to go even faster to get through in time even though just 100 yards up the road there's ones timed so they'll be red anyway.
yes as a driver i'm guilty of sometimes trying to get through on amber but i dont speed up ESPECIALLY when theres pedestrians about.
Anyway, going back to the original topic i didnt think it had landed in the island, that would be almost impossible!
