It's worse than I thought

Dude, I think we have pantry moths too! So far we've thrown out a canister of old breadcrumbs and a forgotten half-empty sleeve of Ritz crackers an dare hoping that will be the end of it. So don't feel too bad-- I'm right there with you! Also, we had fruit flies over the summer-- I would recommend baking soda and vinegar down the drains, and then let a dish full of vinegar (wit ha drop or two of dish soap) sit on the counter for awhile. It should fill up with flies, which is gross, but better!

We've had them before, but never this bad. Grand total of thrown-out food: 3 garbage bags. At least my pantry is tidy. I vacuumed, then scrubbed the shelves, then vacuumed again before putting the pitiful remains back up. They got my last remaining bag of TJ's somen noodles! TJ's stopped making them months ago, the rats. We did the fruit fly trap with vinegar, but never thought of putting anything down the drains -- do they really breed down there as well? Nasty things.
