This is my last week in my job. After Friday, I'll no longer be in the non-profit world. After years of pimping out my writing, hustling for money and working myself ragged to keep my department solvent, it's now someone else's problem. For myself, I am going to be a full-time chef. My good friend, zoethe had a great essay this morning, where she said, "We are what we do, and we make our world by the doing."

I admire anyone who has the courage to self examine and then go out and do what makes them happy. Of course, as a fellow lover of the culinary arts, I'll add added applause to this decision. I know you've certainly given me thoughts of someday doing something like catering. *grin* Maybe working under you?

You flashed through my mind this morning as I was dealing with the indruder situation. "What would Christeos do?" I thought, as I firmly directed the intruder to the back door and got as much information out of him as I could. Thanks for being there in spirit!
