[Later that evening, once Luke has "settled in" to his new living arrangements a bit more, he may realize that there is still another family member he hasn't yet met. The photos scattered around the home indicate that Luke has a brother. A creepy one.

Said brother has been gone for most of the day and upon returning home, notices that something is different. The droned human-Terezi is missing and there's a new face in the family photos. Curious, Slugger decides to search for the new addition to the "family" and begins to wander through the house.]

[Said new "brother" is in his room, a bit more calmer after realizing the residents of the household hadn't kidnapped him. Unfortunately that didn't change the fact that he was stuck in an unfamiliar town with no Professor in sight.

He'll be checking out his new room, since he's going to be sleeping there.]

[Eventually, Slugger's search leads him to one of the upstairs bedrooms. Silent as a shadow, he peeks into the room. When Luke seems sufficiently distracted, Slugger will seat himself upon the dresser and stare at him until he's noticed...]

[And he seems to be jotting something down, talking to himself as he does.]

Somehow I ended up in a place called "Mayfield", a place that loops around when you try to leave it. As strange as it sounds, I-

[And that's when he gets the feeling he's being watched.

He slowly glances up and spots Slugger.]

[And then he proceeds to leap out of his chair.]

AUGH!!

[Ah, the look of fear in a young boy's eyes. Priceless. Slugger grins with malignant glee. His face is creepily shrouded in shadows and his voice is suitably eerie.]

Welcome home.

[He places a hand over his chest and sighs, between the strange house, the skeleton he met earlier in the kitchen, and everything else that's happened today, he's about ready to have a heart attack.]

It's not nice to sneak up on people.

[Totally not sorry. He nods toward the book Luke had been writing in.]

As strange as it sounds, you what?

[He glances down at his notes, or more appropriately a letter to the Professor.

He'd go on, but he's a little wary of everyone right now, waking up in a strange place and all.]

Ah, these are just notes I'm writing to the Professor.

I'm Luke, by the way. Who are you? And what are you doing on top of the dresser?

[As he says this he leans forward a bit and tips his chin up as if trying to peer at the writing on the page. It makes his yellow-grin eyes become visible beneath the ball cap.]

Me? Here they call me Lil' Slugger.

[Odd name, but he's not going to comment on it.]

[In the mere blink of an eye, Slugger is off the dresser and standing to the side of Luke.]

[Luke hands the note to Slugger. As of right now, there's not much in them. It details his first day in Mayfield, from waking up in 726 Anderson, to some of the people he's talked to, which includes the names Rin, Edward, and Death.

Also mentioned is that according to Rin, he's been here before. There's some emphasis on that.]

Ah right, you wouldn't happen to know that skeleton man who was here earlier, would you?

[After reading it over, he looks up.]

Susan's grandfather, Death. He visits a lot.
