Tarah, pessimistic or not, you are missing the second edge of this double-edged sword. I'm sorry you feel the way you do. But you do not speak for a huge percentage of the population (yes, huge) that loves this season for the time-worned principles upon which it was established. They're still there. For many people, and inside yourself if you'd permit yourself to overlook a lot of the pain of your life.

sorry, i was not in a good mood when i wrote that. you'd be surprised how many people you see in this town have no grasp of family whatsoever. all they do is ask and ask, and that's all they care about. just about EVERYONE in the high school. i was pissed. lol
