I'm actually really excited about it!! There is a store in Berkeley called Lacis and they specialize in antique fabrics and such. I need to go there to buy the boning and will ask them for their advice, especially as a lot of people get corset supplies there -- I think. I'll take photos tonight of everything I have and load it online at some point :P It's complicated for me cause I don't have a digital camera and have to rely on my boyfriends iphone.

Oooo, I'm impressed. Regency period. What type of dress are you looking at? The classic empire waistline and puff sleeves? Marianne did some plastic boning in her Ren. Faire dresses. They turned out okay, but I don't know if she's completely happy with the boning.

The folks at Lacis are very knowledgeable. When we lived out there, we had to make a trip over to Lacis with a visiting friend who made lace.

Good luck. And, yes, we want pictures.
