 While cruising through the DTV world, I stopped on local UTB Hollywood, DTV 18.2, and they were broadcasting NHK world TV as they frequently do.  One of the usual English features came up, Journeys in Japan hosted by Haruka Orth, and this episode was on Matsue capital of Shimane prefecture.  Matsue is well known as one of the first places in Japan ( Read more... )

 In the summer of 2010 a lot of conversation and print was wasted on this guy who lost weight eating twinkies and M&Ms, and the trick is he ate 1200 calories per day.  Everyone does realize that's an amazingly small amount of food; examples, one package of twinkies is around 270 calories, meaning he could five packages of twinkies per day?  Sounds ( Read more... )
