For those that have... step behind the cut. I have a curiosity question to pose.

I kind of like the idea of a little girl. Yes most men want a son, but there is also something special between a father and daughter. I would love to see that emotion play out with the Doctor having his own little princess. Although he did get a brief glimpse of that with THe Doctor's Daughter, but I like the idea of him and Rose with a baby girl.

I agree that there is a special bond between a Daddy and his little girl. But, there's a special bond between father and son, too.

Quite a conundrum

And really, just think of The Doctor with a little boy. They'd likely blow something up, yeah?

Oh, what a great image! Hey, that's how The Doctor learned... hands on and watching his dad, right? I can see Rose clearing the smoke away from her face, coughing... "What've you done now? And how far are we going to have to go for the parts to fix it?"

And the two of them looking at her with matching grins.

I think he'd be kind of awe-struck by a little girl. Granted - in my universe - he had two already (not including Jenny)... but that was oh... seven or more centuries ago? It's been awhile. :-)

It's so hard to decide.

i say girl, definitely. i've read fics with both boys, and girls, but for some reason i love the idea of the doctor raising a daughter. the thought of her growing older and becoming interested in boys has definitely always been a thought that amuses me. i can see the doctor being so protective of his daughter. i love the thought.

I certainly have experience dealing with fathers who don't want their daughters to like boys - and the lengths they'll go to in order to prevent her from breathing the same air as someone male. HA HA HA

Oh, good conversation...

Rose: I don't get it, Doctor. What are you so worried about?

Doctor: That she'll fall in love with some idiot and take off.

Rose: What... like her mother.

He'd have to grin at that. LOL

oh, and total opinion of mine that i wanted to throw out there and forgot about. i think she should still be pregnant when/if the doctor finds her. i love reading about that stage before the baby's there and they're just expecting it. especially when it's done well, and i could see you doing a great job with it.

Hmm.

For me, this depends on how long you have Rose with the baby before the Doctor shows up. I'm not including pregnancy, I'm talking actual BABY.

If the baby is still a baby when the Doctor meets her, I vote for girl.

If the baby is walking & talking & all the rest, I vote for boy.

Why? I'm not exactly sure. But I'm also way tired, and find it difficult to reason after 10pm (and here it is 10.03). Maybe I can reason this out in the morning?

Here's another contingency...

What if - theoretically (again - made no hard decisions on this topic) She's still pregnant when she gets back to him?
