 What is a wedge adjustment?

Well, in a nutshell, when you see a crew member popping a wrench through one of the holes in the back window, they are making a wedge adjustment. It changes things within three points of the suspension. I could get all kinds of technical and be extremeley elaborate, but basically, it changes the pressure on the rear springs. Generally, more wedge tightens her up, and less wedge loosens her up.

I hope that Kyle Busch gets arrested for steroids. Or something. He's good. But he's not 8 wins with a new team, with a new manufacturer good.

Ah, ok, that makes sense. Thank you.

I prefer to think that Busch is just an aberration for the season. Don't you feel that Tony is distracted, too? Where's my piss-and-vinegar boy?

He's lame-duck for the rest of the season. I had hoped to see the old Tony finish it out with JGR, but apparently, HIM winning doesn't mean as much to HIM right now, as much as his teammate's winning does for the signer of his paychecks.

Just last year, he would have put Kyle in the kitty litter to win at the Glen. Yesterday, he more or less covered Kyle's ass. He really didn't do shit but make sure that Marcos and Juan weren't able to get to Kyle. I happen to think that he's racing for Joe Gibbs, and not Tony Stewart.

Why should he give a shit? After all, he's in the Chase right now, and he was running second at the time. Not to mention, next year he'll be with a new team.

Tony might struggle a bit next year. But rest assured that if he's running second to Kyle Busch in any race in 2009, he'll either pass his ass or run over him in the closing laps.
