I've been watching Andromeda... and over the last two days I've taught myself the bulk of Perl/Tk. Oh, what fun. The (simple) GUI alone took me over 200 lines, but what the hell, it looks pretty. And Tk probably does faster GUIs than a lot of the alternatives; it's still a hell of a big step up from "native" functions. I've got a lurking ( Read more... )

I've started on Uberman's Sleep Schedule. The idea is that by taking a 20 minute nap every 4 hours (and not sleeping at any other times) you can train yourself to go into REM instantly, thereby getting a full 2 hours of REM per day, which is better than the supposedly required 1.5 hours.
