Rory being thirty-one threw me a little. I can't work out if that means that more time has passed somewhere in the middle than we realized, Rory is older with respect to Amy than I had realized (I had figured he was probably about three years older because he was already working when she was 19, but he could be as much as six now depending on how you count Amy's timeline), or if the ten months referred not to the time since the last episode, but to the time since some intervening, unseen last meeting with the Doctor ( ... )

Well, since TEH, we have had at least... what, 2 years + time in space travels + 3 months (line in LKH) + time in space travels + another two years (Christmas episode) + approximately 9 months from Christmas to AotD + 10 months. So that gives us, what, approximately 6 years since TEH? That would make Amy at least 25... Is Rory 6 years older than her? The clips of them as children would not suggest that sooo... maybe there's a couple more years missing?

OMG, Amy would have immediately been shipping Doctor/Rory... wait, I think. Maybe I take that back 'cause the Doctor knowingly kissed his Dad-in-law, ewwww. hahaha

Yeah, I got a funny feeling like this weaning stuff has been written in for just as much reason as it was for plot as it was to wean the actual audience. They know how much we love the Ponds. You gotta put in lines like that to make us slowly detach. UGH. MAYA. WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO.

HAHAH I know, right?? I loved the Amelie bit. :D

Yeah, you're right, Rory was an EXTREMELY small child if he was six years older than Amy, so there must be some holes there. Either that, or the writers forgot to make a timeline for themselves, which, since it's Doctor Who, is always possible. Continuity? What continuity? This show's been going on for 50 years, you mess something up, you paper over it, call it timey-wimey, and move on! :P

That would be a little awkward. Is it incest to make out with your in-laws? Bleh. But he kisses everyone, so whatever.

UGH YOU'RE SO RIGHT. I don't wanna be weaned off the Ponds! What are we going to do? Cry, probably. And then cry some more. I was walking to the library today and nearly started crying thinking about how they are only around for three more episodes. It's been two and a half years of my life rooting for these stupid people and they aren't even real! *crawls under rock and pouts*

That's what I'm saying-- he was even shorter than Amelia and Mels. Though you're possibly quite right with the whole "uhhh... TIMEY-WIMEY!" business. Oh, Doctor Who. Never change... 'cept when you do change, then in that case, go for it.

He should kiss Amy again. I mean, what?

OH MY GOOOODDDDD I didn't even think of it that way, three more episodes of the Ponds. Holy moly. We're gonna need the two months to recover before the Christmas special. Moffat's been teasing that the Pond's exit takes a bit toll on the Doctor, which in some twisted way I'm happy about. hahaha I like the idea of the Doctor being super bent out of shape about a companion leaving (whether it's on their own will or not-- time will tell!).

Kissing immediately followed by slapping made it even better, I feel.

The Doctor likes it with a bit of slap and tickle.

Rupert Graves has five children and is good at football. RG plays Lestrade.

This episode was so much fun! I Loved all of it! It was even better than I expected. So awesome to see RG having so much fun with that awesome character. Loved the Queen and Rory's dad too!

This is definitely one of my favorite Who episodes ever!

Rupert Graves. Mm. One hell of a man.

This episode surprised me in how good it was and how much I enjoyed it. I actually wasn't terribly excited before the episode started and so I was pleasantly pleased in how much of a reaction I got from it. AotD was a tough act to follow, but DoaS did it.
