Early summer is awesome!

The start of summer is a wonderful time. Hot enough to swim, not hot enough to be unable to move. I've introduced the new housemate and a mutual friend to the place I used to take Lu Dog swimming. It's so beautiful there. I miss Lu Dog everytime, and wish the little Kelly dog liked the water

I love early Summer. Hooray for longer days and getting laundry dry and feeling generally less sluggish. We don't have snails but we have ants for the first time ever. I think the house has some ant sized gaps due to quakage.

If you find the trail the ants are following, lay a line of talcum powder down, and the ants will stop coming in that way. The talcum powder covers the scents they use, and they get all confused, so they avoid it.
