I can't understand why so many people say "I don't regret anything!" and really mean it. And think that you shouldn't regret anything. I think if you don't regret things... a lot of things, probably, for most of us... you're not only not being honest with yourself, you're missing what I think is an important part of being a moral/conscientious person. The self-loathing /is/ only the beginning. Eventually you begin to love yourself, and hate everyone else, even though you don't want to! And then you hate yourself for that, too! The path gets steeper, but your climbing skills get better faster than the path gets steeper, so it feels like everything gets easier. But then again, what do I know; I'm just fucking my life up. I should be sleeping. Nice to hear from you lately!
The question you have to ask yourself is this: Do you like the person you are today? If the answer is yes than theres nothing to regret because whats happened in your past has come to form the person you are now. If the answer is no than that means you just need to pinpoint what it is that you dont like and work toward changing it. Of course, once youve changed it than thats another thing in the life to NOT regret doing =)
